Kristen Cronin, Daniel DeKoskie and Maria Kline Each Take on Elevated New Roles at Bank
Ulster Savings Bank is pleased to announce the promotions of three long-standing team members: Kristen Cronin, Daniel DeKoskie and Maria Kline. Each of the employees has worked at Ulster Savings Bank for more than a decade.
Kristen Cronin has been named First Vice President and Controller at the bank’s Kingston headquarters. Ms. Cronin will oversee the bank’s daily accounting operations, maintain the integrity of the balance sheet and income statement, provide asset/liability and liquidity management, take care of budgeting and financial statement preparation, and act as the primary liaison with external and internal audit firms for financial matters.
A Troy resident, Ms. Cronin holds an MBA from the University of Maryland University College and a BS Degree in Accounting from Boston College. She is also a Certified Public Account (CPA) and a graduate of the American Bankers Association Graduate School of Banking, a preeminent executive management school for the financial services industry. She has been a bank employee since 2003.
Daniel P. DeKoskie, an employee of Ulster Savings Bank since 2008, has been promoted to Vice President of Audit at the Kingston headquarters.
Mr. DeKoskie, a New Paltz resident, will manage the bank’s audit function, manage the annual audit performed by external auditors, manage regulatory examinations from the FDIC and New York State Department of Financial Services, and work closely with the Board’s Audit Committee to improve the bank’s Audit program.
He holds a BS and MBA in Accounting from SUNY New Paltz and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. DeKoskie is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He is a volunteer for the New Paltz Baseball and Softball Association and New Paltz Recreation Soccer.
Maria Kline, who joined Ulster Savings Bank in 2002, has been named AVP/Commercial Credit Manager at the bank’s Kingston headquarters. In her new role, Ms. Kline will provide day-to-day management of credit analysis, the production of credit presentations, and commercial loan pipeline administration from application to closing.
A Kingston resident, Ms. Kline holds a BA in Communication from Marist College and has done post-graduate work at the University of North Carolina Greensboro in Public Administration. Active in the community, she supports various animal rescue organizations, including House for Dogmanity. She is also a volunteer at St. James Methodist Church and People’s Place and supports the US Coast Guard, where her son and daughter-in-law serve.
