Rumpl hires Rocco Villano as vice president of operations, Nate Clark as national sales manager and welcomes Sarah Crockett as Rumpl’s newest board member
Rumpl, the category leader in technical outdoor blankets, announces the hiring of Rocco Villano as vice president of operations and Nate Clark as national sales manager. Rumpl also welcomes Sarah Crockett as the newest board member. These three additions strengthen Rumpl’s leadership team as the brand enters a new era of leadership and growth.
Villano will join the Rumpl team effective today, bringing 15 years of operational expertise to help ensure efficient operational strategies and productive workflows and performance. Villano most recently served as vice president of supply chain for the Housewares division of Helen of Troy. Helen of Troy is the leading global consumer product company offering creative solutions for customers through trusted brands like OXO, Hydro Flask, Honeywell, and Drybar. Prior to that, Villano was director of operations at Hydro Flask for 5 years, where he grew the brand to the leading insulated beverage bottle in sport, outdoor and natural foods. Helen of Troy acquired Hydro Flask in 2016 and during that time Villano transitioned to his role of vice president of global supply chain.
“Rumpl has such a strong reputation in the outdoor industry and I can’t wait to join such a talented and passionate leadership team,” says Villano. “Wylie [Robinson, Rumpl’s founder and CEO] and his team have done such an outstanding job creating an industry-leading brand. I look forward to working closely with the entire team to develop long-term, efficient operational strategies that will allow Rumpl to scale and grow as we enter an exciting chapter for the business.”
Along with Villano, Nate Clark joins the Rumpl team as national sales manager. After almost a decade in the bike industry with experience managing sales, marketing, and operations at regional, national, and corporate levels, Clark will bring his sales expertise to Rumpl, where he will lead the US wholesale channel to reach ambitious company goals and objectives. Clark recently served as global sales director at Evil Bike Co., where he led all revenue-generating functions for wholesale and direct channels globally. Evil Bike Co. is a leading manufacturer of high-end downhill, freeride and trail mountain bikes.
In addition to Rumpl’s new hires, Sarah Crockett joins Rumpl’s board by way of Women On Boards (WOB) Project, a nonprofit with the purpose of empowering women business leaders and improving diversity and inclusion at the board of directors level across consumer brands. Crockett currently serves as Backcountry’s chief marketing officer and is a board member for Stance Socks. Prior to her time at Backcountry, Crockett served as chief marketing officer for Burton Snowboards. With decades of experience leading category-leading brands, Crockett will serve as an integral member for Rumpl’s board of directors.
“Sarah brings such a deep knowledge of consumer-centric brand building in the outdoor, actions sports, and apparel categories. She has done an amazing job leading integrated marketing initiatives at brands like Backcountry, Burton Snowboards, REI, and Vans, and we’re thrilled to have her join the Rumpl board of directors as we enter a new era of leadership and growth,” says Wylie Robinson, founder and CEO of Rumpl.
