EP Inspections and Commissioning Appoints Molly Glenn Director of Special Inspections

Inspections and Commissioning (EPIC) is pleased to announce the addition of Molly Glenn to its team as its Director of Special Inspections. In this role, Glenn will be responsible for visiting sites, documenting existing conditions and working closely with clients to ensure that projects are being performed in accordance with the appropriate regulations. Glenn will currently be overseeing all EPIC’s inspections, requiring an expansive and in-depth knowledge of the New York City Building Code, the ability to critically analyze architectural and structural documents and an exceptional capacity for managing numerous complex projects.

Molly Glenn comes to EPIC from Amaracon Testing & Inspections, where she served as the Senior Manager of Special Inspections. During her tenure, she conducted special inspections to fulfill the NYC Building Code Technical Report 1 and 8 requirements in a variety of both structural and non-structural disciplines. She has managed and conducted the inspections of dozens of projects simultaneously, demonstrating an unparalleled understanding of the Building Code and the ability to quickly discern and meet the needs of multiple unique projects at once. She also displayed these skills during her time as Director of Special Inspections at AK Engineering, where she managed numerous complex projects, trained several new hires to conduct inspections, and led to the creation of new training materials and company reference guides to be used by all inspectors. The skills required to achieve this are extensive and particularly rare due to the complexity of the Building Code and its frequent updates.

Both during and prior to her work at Amaracon, Glenn also distinguished herself in her field by earning several certifications from both the International Code Council and the American Concrete Institute. In addition to her education as a Mechanical Engineer at the University of Rochester, Glenn has also earned certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector, Structural Steel and Bolting Inspector, Structural Welding Inspector, Structural Masonry Inspector and Concrete Construction Inspector. She is also a Grade I Concrete Field Testing Technician and recently passed the Professional Engineering examination in June.

Molly Glenn brings a level of experience to our organization that cannot be overstated,” said Evan Parganos, EP Engineering President. “Throughout her career, she has proven herself to be able to manage complex projects providing each with the attention to detail and personal connection that our firm prides itself on. As we continue to broaden the scope of the services that EPIC provides, there is no doubt that Molly will play a critical role in our company’s future while also being a tremendous asset to our clients.”

The addition of Molly Glenn to EPIC is indicative of the firm’s commitment to its values and dedication to its clients. Since it was founded, EPIC has remained focused on providing clients with the resources of a large organization with the intimacy and attention of a small one. In that time, it has expanded its services to better protect its clients’ best interests and ensure that they have access to the resources they need to thrive.
