Relias Director Trish Richardson Named President-Elect Of North Carolina Nurses Association

Relias, a software company specializing in education solutions for healthcare providers, is proud to announce that Director of Post-Acute Care Solutions, Trish Richardson, MSN, BSBA, RN, NE-BC, CMSRN, has been installed as president-elect of the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA).

Founded in 1902, the NCNA is the leading professional organization for North Carolina’s registered nurses and helps nursing professionals stay abreast of current best practices, policies, education requirements, and more. “It’s always exciting to get a feel for how our new leaders can help NCNA build on the momentum of those who came before,” said Meka Douthit EL, DNP, RN, NE-BC, current President of NCNA. “Trish has been an enthusiastic NCNA member since she first joined, and we anticipate she’ll keep bringing that energy as we pursue strategies to accomplish the association’s mission and lead Nursing Forward® for nurses across the state.”

Richardson is a board-certified nurse executive and certified medical-surgical registered nurse with nearly 30 years of business and healthcare experience, including leadership positions in clinical education, operations, management, and oversight for numerous successful organizational change initiatives.

“I am humbled and honored to serve as the President-elect for the North Carolina Nurses Association,” said Richardson. “I will continue advocating on behalf of the nearly 150,000 Registered Nurses in North Carolina and work tirelessly in support of our mission and vision because together, WE advance Nursing Forward®!”

Richardson joined Relias in 2020 and currently serves as Director of Post-Acute Care Solutions. Trish also serves as a subject matter expert at Relias and consults with post-acute care organizations across the country on how to utilize training to improve outcomes. She often represents Relias at conferences, most recently serving as a co-host of the company’s annual event, Impact Nation.
