Cybersecurity and consulting firm signs lease with St. John Properties, Inc. at four-story 8115 Maple Lawn Boulevard and plan to take occupancy next spring
ANALYGENCE, a cybersecurity and consulting firm founded in 2010, has signed a lease with St. John Properties, Inc. for 9,054 square feet of space within 8115 Maple Lawn Boulevard, a four-story, 130,629 square foot Class ‘A’ office building at Maple Lawn. The group plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to the Howard County business community next spring. ANALYGENCE is presently located in Columbia Gateway. Bill Jautze of St. John Properties represented the landlord and Scott Mendelson and Kristin Rebeck of Edge represented the client in this lease transaction.
ANALYGENCE provides intelligence analysis and cybersecurity solutions to branches of the United States military and government as well as private sector companies in need of complex cyber threats and support services. The company offers a full range of information technology services, advanced cyber training and cyber threat detections and vulnerability analysis.
“With our amazing growth, our current office space was no longer suitable to fit our needs. We wanted our next headquarters to be contained in a high-profile and amenitized business environment where we could entertain customers, while also offering a comfortable working atmosphere for employees,” explained Lonnie F. Parker, Jr., Founder and CEO of ANALYGENCE. “The convenience of walkable amenities, and a location that is central to our customers were major factors that made our real estate decision rather easy.”
With this lease, 8115 Maple Lawn Boulevard is now 94% occupied. The building, which earned a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, is part of the Maple Lawn mixed-use community, which is being developed by St. John Properties and master developer Greenebaum Enterprises. Located at the intersection of MD Routes 29 and 216 in Fulton, Maple Lawn consists of nearly two million square feet of commercial office, flex/R&D and retail space, in addition to a residential housing component. The business community is six miles from Columbia, 22 miles from Baltimore and 30 miles from Washington, D.C.
“It was extremely important to select a new location that our employees would embrace because they are the most valuable component of the company,” Parker added. “Not only did we accomplish that goal, but we believe the community of Maple Lawn provides a competitive advantage during the recruitment process for new team members. The space at 8115 Maple Lawn provides us with room to grow, with the possibility of additional expansion space in the building. Our staff will now have the opportunity to spread out a bit and enjoy the walkable amenities and stress-relieving outdoor spaces that Maple Lawn hasto offer.”
“Maple Lawn continues to be a very sought-after community by high-profile companies like ANALYGENCE,” stated Sean Doordan, Executive Vice President, Leasing & Acquisitions for St. John Properties. “St. John Properties is very pleased with both the upward trending lease activity and completion of yet another speculative Class ‘A’ multistory office building at Maple Lawn.
