Call it a who’s who of Maryland STEM.
Companies, educators, students and more ecosystem members from the state took center stage at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville, which on Thursday hosted the Maryland Tech Council’s (MTC) latest Industry Awards ceremony.
The umbrella organization’s 34th iteration of the annual event celebrated excellence in life sciences, tech, education and related fields throughout the Free State. DC- and Baltimore-area companies and institutions earned prominent recognition, as did their counterparts in more disparate areas of the state like the Eastern Shore and the Western Panhandle. Each of these winners captured the nexus of life sciences and STEM achievement that the MTC seeks to advance and commercialize, according to MTC CEO Marty Rosendale.
