Fragomen DC Managing Partner Andrew Greenfield Writes U.S. Government’s SelectUSA Official Immigration Guide Article

Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP partner Andrew Greenfield has been chosen by the U.S. federal government’s business development program SelectUSA to author its official document that outlines immigration options available to foreign businesses seeking to invest and employ key staff in the U.S. market.

The article is part of the U.S. government’s annual SelectUSA investor guide, which is designed to educate foreign firms and investors across the globe and invite them to do business in the United States. The 2022 guide was published in conjunction with the annual SelectUSA Investment Summit to be held June 26 to 29 in Washington, D.C. Hosted by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo, this year’s event will feature notable speakers including U.S. Cabinet members, U.S. governors, thought leaders, and C-suite executives from U.S. and global companies.

Greenfield, who is the managing partner of Fragomen’s Washington, D.C., office and a member of the global immigration boutique’s Executive Committee, also authored SelectUSA’s comprehensive immigration articles that were published in the 2021 and 2020 SelectUSA Investor Guides.

Among other updates, the 2022 article by Greenfield reflects changes in Covid-19 testing and vaccination requirements for entry to the United States, as well as changes to the EB-5 category, including increases to the minimum investment requirements.

Greenfield advises U.S. and global organizations across industries on U.S. immigration and nationality law, regulation, policy, and compliance. He counsels clients on visa/work permit matters and on the immigration consequences of M&A and other corporate reorganizations; I-9/E-Verify, H-1B/LCA and PERM compliance, including audit representation; and overall global immigration program management. He also advises international treaty organizations, their officers, and employees regarding the application and limitations of diplomatic privileges and immunities, related State Department law and policy, and U.S. work authorization and residency planning.

From 2014 to 2020, Greenfield was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to serve as the immigration law and policy expert on the board of Brand USA, the public-private partnership established by Congress in 2010 to promote international travel and tourism to the United States.
