Blind Industries and Services of Maryland Hires Jessica Normington as the Director of Development and Communications

Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) has hired Jessica Normington as Director of Development and Communications.

Ms. Normington brings nearly twenty years of experience in marketing and development to BISM, with the majority of her career in the non-profit sector.

Prior to joining BISM, Ms. Normington served in the Baltimore County Government in the Economic Development office. Frederick J. Puente, President of BISM said “We are thrilled to have Jessica on our team. She is an accomplished development professional and will be an incredible asset to BISM as we look to strengthen our culture of philanthropy and raise funds needed to support and expand our training and programming for blind and low vision individuals.”

Strengthening BISM’s fun-raising efforts and creating community partnerships to ensure the growth of our programs and services will be my main focus as I grow within this leadership role.”

BISM currently employs 480 associates (employees) in 10 facilities located in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Ft. Knox, Kentucky and Raleigh, North Carolina.
