Sinai Hospital broke ground on a $50 million expansion of its emergency department Wednesday.
The project, which is expected to be complete by December 2024, will feature larger patient rooms, a larger trauma center, and more space for sub-specialties like pediatrics.
According to officials from LifeBridge Health, Sinai Hospital’s parent company, the expanded emergency department will feature 36,600 square feet of new construction, 33,500 square feet of interior renovation and a new second story for administrative staff.
