Diverse mix of vibrant F&B and lifestyle concepts arriving in 2024
GID Development today announces a wave of new retail tenants coming to High Street, the $2 billion, transit-oriented, mixed-use district in the heart of Atlanta’s Central Perimeter. Building on High Street’s growing collection of exciting food and beverage offerings, the new tenants include Agave Bandido, Cuddlefish and Ben & Jerry’s – alongside boutique beauty salon, Sugarcoat. The first phase of the center is set to open in 2024.
“With each new tenant, we are thoughtfully crafting a vibrant, amenity-rich destination that will serve as the town center for Central Perimeter,” said James Linsley, president of GID Development. “From the outset, our focus has been on designing compelling and active public spaces and curating a collection of talented chefs and restaurants at High Street, and we have so much more in store as we move toward 2024.”
Showcasing a contemporary spin on Mexican cuisine served in an ultra-sleek and trendy setting, Agave Bandido has garnered acclaim in South Florida and will bring its first Atlanta location to High Street. In addition to its alluring dining area perfect for everything from elegant dinner dates, celebrating special occasions or business lunches, the space will feature a lively outdoor tequila bar, providing a variety of experiences within its footprint. Sharp-eyed guests might even discover “Maya,” the secret Mexican Tiki bar hidden inside.
“Given the success we’ve had with our first restaurant in South Florida, it was critical we chose the right location to expand our brand,” said Mathew Baum, founder of Wolverine Management. “High Street presents the perfect opportunity to reach the same upscale, suburban consumers that have allowed us to flourish, so we are thrilled to begin welcoming guests in 2024.”
Led by the James Beard-nominated team behind Brush and Momonoki, Cuddlefish will provide a paradise for sushi fanatics. Following the opening of its flagship location in Decatur last fall, Cuddlefish drew rave reviews for its authentic handrolls that surprise and subvert expectations. In addition to offering a casual dining experience in an inviting space with hints of Japanese art and influence, the sushi haven also plans to operate a small fish market where customers can purchase kits to make their own rolls at home.
“We know how much people love Japanese cuisine, and we want to elevate their palates with a type of sushi they’ve likely never experienced,” said John Chen and Jason Liang, co-owners of Cuddlefish. “Our new location at High Street will allow for families, professionals, and sushi enthusiasts around Central Perimeter to enjoy a unique dining experience that will raise their taste buds to another level.”

Ben & Jerry’s world-famous brand is also coming to High Street, with only its second brick-and-mortar store in the Atlanta area joining the existing location at Inman Park. High Street will uniquely and prominently be a “shop of the future” prototype, incorporating a visionary design and functional, fan-focused interactivity.

Launched in 2010 and now with 11 locations already dotting the map around Metro Atlanta, Sugarcoat is the go-to spot for those seeking elevated nail care treatments. What sets it apart is a focus on modern and inviting locations where the details make the difference, especially its pipeless massage pedicure chair and manicure tables with increased ventilation – just some of its best-in-class amenities.
