Avery Point Welcomes Dr. Peter Harding As Medical Director

Dr. Peter R. Harding has been named Medical Director at Avery Point, an Erickson Senior Living-managed community in Short Pump, Virginia. Dr. Harding brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to his new role. He joined the Erickson Health Medical Group in January 2023.

“We are very excited Dr. Harding is part of our leadership team at Avery Point,” said Executive Director Todd DeLaney. “Not only does he have outstanding healthcare and management experience, but he is also passionate about providing our residents with the best health and wellness services.”

Dr. Harding is board certified in internal medicine. He joins Avery Point from Amelia Island, Florida, where he worked for 13 years as a hospitalist, community clinic director, and hospice center associate director. Before that, he served as a physician for the U.S. Air Force after graduating from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Avery Point’s medical center, located just steps from residents’ homes, is staffed with full-time senior health providers and offers residents same-day in-person appointments, telehealth, and home visits.
