BayCoast Bank (Baycoast.bank), a long-time community savings bank proudly serving the people and businesses on the South Coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, is excited to announce John P. McMahon of Swansea, Massachusetts as Senior Vice President of Community Engagement.
McMahon is a dynamic bank marketing and real estate management professional, who is committed to forging long-lasting, productive relationships with customers, colleagues and business partners. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry to his new post at BayCoast Bank, most recently serving as Vice President, Marketing and Real Estate for Mechanics Cooperative Bank.
McMahon offers a depth of expertise in marketing, sales, strategic planning, budgeting and compliance and has proven success in leadership, team building, communication, and critical decision-making. In this role, McMahon actively supervises numerous areas of engagement for BayCoast Bank including Corporate Giving, Marketing, the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), as well as the customer Contact Center and Interactive Teller Machine departments.
Building and maintaining meaningful community relationships is a priority for McMahon, who works with numerous nonprofits and organizations to actively develop and execute projects and events that will foster engagement in the neighborhoods the Bank serves.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Management, McMahon is a Board Member with the Bristol Community College Foundation and also serves on the Fall River United Way Allocation Committee.
