Branch Properties Announces Opening of Wynnehaven Plaza in Navarre, Florida

After the grand opening of Publix Super Markets,  several new tenants have been announced at the fully pre-leased center

Atlanta-based real estate investment and development firm Branch Properties announced today that Wynnehaven Plaza, a 57,750-square-foot Publix Super Markets-anchored shopping center in Navarre, Florida, is now open to the public. The 48,387-square-foot Publix Super Market held its grand opening on March 8th, and the property is 100% pre-leased as of earlier this year.

The 10-acre development, located on the northwest corner of US Highway 98 and Rosewood Drive in Navarre, features 9,750 square feet of inline retail space adjacent to Publix and 4,733 square feet of freestanding space for Southeast Mexican restaurant chain, El Jalisco. Other tenants include coffee shop chain, PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans; local ice cream and bubble tea shop, Wave Destin; office and packing supply store, Qwik Pack & Ship; nail salon, Grand Nail Lounge; and a primary care medical office.

The strength of local demand for quality retail space and success of this project is evidenced by the fact that Branch was able to fully pre-lease the property before Publix’s opening this month.”

Located just outside of the Wynnehaven Beach community within Santa Rosa County, Wynnehaven Plaza caters to the region’s rising population, which increased by more than 24% in the past decade according to the 2020 U.S. Census. The town of Navarre itself grew by over 30% and was recently named as one of the top places to live by Money.com. The city is home to a large population of U.S. military personnel, federal civil servants, retirees and defense contractors and is expected to continue growing by another 2% through 2025.

Branch currently has two other projects under construction or recently completed in the Pensacola area, including Merganser Commons at Dogwood Estates, a 66,921-square-foot Publix-anchored center, in Milton, Florida, and Elevate Navarre, a 332-unit multifamily community in Navarre, now leasing.

In addition to its Panhandle projects, Branch is also overseeing the development and leasing efforts of two other Publix-anchored shopping centers across the Southeast including Limestone Marketplace, in Gainesville Ga; and Summerhill Station in Atlanta, Ga.
