Gallerist and art dealer brings 25 years of experience in fine art
Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) welcomes Lisa Burgess to its board of directors.
Burgess has 25 years of experience as a gallerist and art dealer. She is the president and founder of New River Fine Art , a gallery located on Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale, and founder of Burgess Modern & Contemporary, an art projects, publishing and private art advisory involved in estate representation and private advisory, assisting clients on the acquisition of works of art. Burgess previously served as president of a fine art framing business and began her career in ad sales at radio stations.
Burgess is involved with the City of Ft. Lauderdale Public Art and Placement Advisory Board, Florida Council on Arts and Culture and Funding Arts Broward.
Raised in Philadelphia, Burgess earned a degree in communications management from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She now resides in Fort Lauderdale.
