VidCon is also unveiling the first list of Featured Creators confirmed to attend this fall, including the Merrell Twins, Molly Burke, Aimsey, Ranboo, Queen Khamyra, SeanDoesMagic, and local Baltimore creators CircleToonsHD, ContraPoints, and Rich Black Guy. Several of these creators have also attended VidCon’s flagship event in Anaheim as Featured Creators and will continue to strengthen their connection with their fans across the country at the inaugural Baltimore event. Additional details on programming, speakers, partner activations, and more Featured Creators will be announced in the coming months.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding to the east coast, further solidifying VidCon’s presence and commitment to connecting fans from all over and celebrating those making the biggest impact on the digital world,” said Sarah Tortoreti, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications at VidCon. “It’s something we’ve been looking to do for some time, and it’s exciting that it’s finally coming to life. VidCon Baltimore will feature VidCon’s signature Industry and Community Tracks, where some of the biggest local and global creators across the gaming, lifestyle and comedy verticals will meet with a new group of fans, while top executives discuss the latest trends shaping the online video industry.”
Held at the Baltimore Convention Center, VidCon Baltimore will bring the culture of the east coast creator economy to life with high-quality programming across the event’s signature Community and Industry Tracks, providing attendees sessions and experiences tailored to their specific interests. The Community Track, VidCon’s most popular ticket, is for the digital world-obsessed and will provide attendees with access to two full days of Q&As and meet & greets with Featured Creators, panel discussions, live performances and more. The one-day Industry Track experience will bring top executives from leading digital and entertainment brands and platforms together to discuss the state of the digital media industry and creator economy, and build strategies, insights and alliances to ensure lasting success for all members of the entertainment and digital ecosystem.
The event will be produced by Fiona Ridgway, as she recently moved into a new role as Executive Producer, VidCon Baltimore. Fiona was previously the Executive Producer of VidCon Now, where she curated programming and interactive events for VidCon’s virtual experience. Prior to producing VidCon Now, Fiona was the Expo Hall Manager for VidCon Anaheim.
VidCon’s new east coast offering debuts on the heels of continued global growth. VidCon’s flagship convention will return to Anaheim, California from June 21 – 24, 2023, marking the brand’s 12th year in Anaheim. A few weeks later, VidCon will head to Brazil for its inaugural São Paulo event from July 7 – 9, and then will continue to bring creators, fans, and brands together in Mexico City for VidCon Mexico’s second iteration from August 11 – 13. Expansion continues to be a key priority for the VidCon brand.
Following the successful hybrid approach at VidCon Anaheim 2022, the event will continue offering a livestream experience for all conventions moving forward, including Baltimore, allowing fans from around the world to attend VidCon virtually.
