EoS Fitness has selected NewQuest Properties to spearhead the site search and negotiate leases for its brand rollout in Greater Houston as it readies the stage for the re-branding of its recently acquired regional chain, Texans Fit.
EoSFitness is planning to open 50 clubs in the Houston metro and Dallas/Fort Worth area in the next five years. EoS Fitness’ focus on Texas dovetails with last year’s relocation of its headquarters to Dallas from Phoenix, gaining a more centralized location for coast-to-coast and border-to-border growth.
“We’re excited to be representing EoS Fitness in the Houston market. We’re already in negotiations on several sites,” says Kevin Sims, vice president of locally based NewQuest Properties. He and colleagues Shireen Owlia, also a vice president, and David K. Meyers, leasing director, are partnering on the assignment.
EoS Fitness’ springboard into Greater Houston is its acquisition of Texans Fit, a locally based chain with five locations, two of which are located in NewQuest-owned developments – Shops at Katy Reserve in Katy and Brazos Town Center in Rosenberg. The rebranding is actively taking place, increasing EoS Fitness’ footprint to 75 clubs in Arizona, Florida, Nevada, Southern California, Texas and Utah.

EoS Fitness, founded in 2014, opened its first gum in Texas earlier this year in Euless, a suburb midway between Dallas and Fort Worth. The national chain will have nine open gyms in the Lone Star State before year’s end, including the Texans Fit’ re-brandings. Sims says 42,000 sf on average are needed whether it’s inline space, a freestanding structure or ground-up project.

Dutch Bros has ground-leased a 1.17-acre (51,060 sf) retail pad site in Marketplace at Ninety-Six, located at the intersection of League City Parkway and Hobbs Road, League City, from NewQuest Properties. Salad and Go has ground-leased a 0.72-acre (31,521 sf) retail pad site in Shops at Katy Reserve, located at the intersection of FM 1463 and Spring Green Boulevard, Katy, from NewQuest Properties.
