Summit Promotes Darin Grimm To SVP Of Claims

LAKELAND, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Summit Consulting LLC (“Summit”), a leading provider of workers’ compensation insurance coverage in the southern United States, announced today the promotion of Robert (Darin) Grimm, DBA, to senior vice president of Claims.

Dr. Grimm joined Summit as an underwriter in 2003. Since then, he has held roles of increased responsibility in several departments including Sales, Marketing and Claims, most recently serving as vice president of medical claims. “I am extremely pleased to announce that Darin is assuming responsibility for this important part of the organization,” says Carol Sipe, Summit’s president and CEO. “Darin’s broad experience has prepared him well for this new role.”

Dr. Grimm succeeds Bob O’Halloran, who will retire on May 5, having served as senior vice president of Claims since 1999. Mr. O’Halloran spent more than 30 years in the insurance claims field and was inducted into the Florida Workers’ Compensation Hall of Fame in 2012. Ms. Sipe shares, “Bob’s influence is evident in every aspect of our claims operation. Beyond technical expertise, I believe Bob’s most lasting impact comes from how he views and treats the injured workers we serve. His influence extends well beyond Summit to the entire industry.”

Dr. Grimm earned a Bachelor of Arts in business and professional leadership from Southeastern University, a Master of Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a Doctor of Business Administration from University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business.
