Rana Basu Joins Trellis Energy Software as VP

SAN FRANCISCO & HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Trellis Energy Software (www.trellisenergy.com) is delighted to announce that it has recently added experienced commodities trading risk and systems professional Rana Basu to its leadership team as Vice President for Growth. The company also reported the hiring of Scott Vogan as Vice President for Sales, a move that was completed in late 2022.

Basu brings over twenty years of energy and commodity trading experience to the company, having previously held leadership roles at Amphora, Transcor Astra, ConsenSys and Ondiflo. He cites the team, its truly team-focused culture, and its incredible potential for growth as primary reasons for joining Trellis Energy.

Rakesh Agarwal, CEO of Trellis, welcomed Basu and Vogan to the company, saying, “We are constantly on the lookout for talented, visionary individuals to join us in our quest to reimagine energy operations. Rana brings a wealth of experience and insights to the team and will play a key role in deepening our front- and mid-office capabilities, and our continued growth into new markets, including renewable natural gas and carbon tracking. Scott’s proven track record in commercializing software solutions and helping customers find the right solution for their needs will further strengthen our growth potential and our reputation for customer-facing excellence.”

Through its Trellis Cloud product suite, Trellis Energy equips participants at all points along the natural gas supply chain with modern energy trade and transaction management that is digital, scalable, efficient, and secure. Users can manage the entire natural gas lifecycle within a single platform, removing the need for siloed systems, insecure spreadsheets, handwritten notes, and time-consuming visits to multiple websites.

Trellis Energy is headquartered in San Francisco, CA and has offices in Houston, TX, where both Mr. Basu and Mr. Vogan will be based.
