Leadership Howard County, which seeks to empower leaders to strengthen and transform the community, named Lisa Kim as program manager for Leadership Premier and Emily McCoy Bish as program coordinator.
- Lisa Kim will manage Leadership Howard County’s signature program, Leadership Premier. The program is an exploration of the Howard County community, during which participants meet with Howard County businesses and local leaders and learn about issues in the county. Kim brings over 10 years of experience developing programming that promotes community enrichment and engagement. A Howard County resident, she received a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Loyola University Maryland.
- Emily McCoy Bish brings over 20 years of experience in youth development and community engagement, in addition to her background in nonprofit development, communications and strategic planning. She is a former educator, camp director and Gold Award Girl Scout. She has volunteered with local and national organizations, serving youth and their families. In addition, she is a founding board member for Under the Stars, a summer camp in Virginia. Bish received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix – Columbia Campus and an associate degree in business and marketing from Frederick Community College.
