“Take a BITE Out of Summer” To Benefit Three Local Charities For Needy Kids
Pompano Beach’s first food hall, The BITE Eatery, will hold a back-to-school supply drive on Wednesday, August 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to benefit children in need served by three local organizations: Children’s Harbor, the Broward Education Foundation and the Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center.
Called “Take a BITE Out of Summer,” the free event (RSVPs required) will offer attendees sample-sized “bites” from all nine of The BITE Eatery’s culinary concepts, plus one free drink from The BITE Bar. The event also features live music, one of the most important ingredients of the food hall experience.
The BITE Eatery is located at 2715 E. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach, FL 33062.
“More than a meal, a great food hall is about adventure, exploration and discovery,” The BITE co-owner Jessica Gollel explained, “and that’s what we’re aiming to also do for kids by making sure they get the tools they need for the best experience at school, too.”
Different Than a Food Court
Much different than a typical mall fast food court, The BITE Eatery is a “food hall,” which is designed to be a lively community social hub that nurtures local culinary talent and celebrates a diverse selection of international cultures. Around the country, food halls have become incubators for new culinary talent and cuisines.
“At The BITE Eatery, you can literally experience 10 different culinary concepts under one roof,” said Gollel, who started the business with her father and brother. “Our Atlantic Boulevard location so close to the ocean makes The BITE a unique and memorable South Florida experience, one BITE at a time!”
Attendees at “Take a BITE Out of Summer” can meet The BITE’s up-and-coming local chefs, while being adventuresome about trying new foods and flavors.

- The LobStar – Maine lobster rolls, Salads, Fried seafood, sides
