Rick Case Hyundai Dealerships Lend a Hand to Fight Childhood Cancer

Hyundai Hope On Wheels® & South Florida Hyundai Dealers Association present Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation with $100,000 grant

Rick Case Hyundai Plantation and Rick Case Hyundai Davie represented all South Florida Hyundai dealerships when Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation and Anne Schaefer, M.D., pediatric hematologist and oncologist, were presented with a $100,000 Hyundai Impact Award from Hyundai Hope On Wheels® and the South Florida Hyundai Dealers Association.

“Our commitment to the fight against pediatric cancer is at the core of who we are and what we try to do to make the world a better place because ‘Every Handprint Tells a Story.’ A child’s life is so precious,” said Marc Riley, COO of Rick Case Automotive Group, who spoke at the event. “On behalf of all my area Hyundai dealers, we are proud to stand with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in this fight. Thank you for all that you do.”

As part of the award ceremony, pediatric cancer patients and survivors dipped their palms in paint and put their handprints on a Hyundai SUV. The vehicle represents their cancer journeys, hopes and dreams.

The $100,000 Hyundai Impact Award will help fund pediatric care and support at the hospital. Since Hyundai Hope On Wheels launched nationally in 1998, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation has received $1.2 million from the 501(c)(3) non-profit.
