Norris McLaughlin, P.A. Adds Environmental Attorney James Creech to Bridgewater Office

The law firm of Norris McLaughlin, P.A. is pleased to announce James “Jim” J. Creech has joined as an associate in the firm’s Bridgewater, New Jersey office as a member of the Environmental Law and Litigation Practice Groups.

“Jim’s government agency work has given him a wealth of environmental experience that will allow him to provide valuable support for clients navigating complex regulatory issues as well as litigation and we are pleased to welcome him to the firm,” said David C. About Jim Creech

Creech represents clients on matters related to environmental regulation, transactions, and litigation and provides strategic counsel throughout all stages of environmental litigation under the New Jersey Spill Act, CERCLA, and other state and federal law. He also advises clients on environmental permitting requirements. Prior to joining Norris McLaughlin, P.A., Creech served as an attorney with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), providing advice on solar energy, electric vehicle, and energy efficiency programs. He also worked for the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and advised the agency on issues related to the Clean Air Act.

Creech earned his J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, as well as his LL.M. in Environmental Law, and received his B.A. from Monmouth University. While attending law school, he interned for the Honorable Nelson Stephen Román in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, as well as for the EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, and the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of the Solicitor. After law school, Creech clerked for the Honorable Jessica R. Mayer, J.A.D., of the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court.
