Sage Ventures is a Baltimore-based real estate investment, management, and development company. Sage broke ground on Cedar Pointe Townhomes, a development project in Clinton, MD.
Sage first entered Prince George’s County back in December 2017 when they acquired Midtown at Camp Springs, a 291-unit apartment community with 10,000 SF of retail space. Midtown was acquired for $63.2 Million and sold in October 2022 for $88.7 Million. In 2019, Sage increased their presence with the acquisition of two more apartment communities in Prince George’s County, and another in 2020.
It was after the fourth acquisition in Prince George’s County that Gil Horwitz, the CEO of Sage Ventures, started looking for a development project. Cedar Pointe Townhomes is the first development project in the County for Sage and probably not their last.
Gil points out that initially Sage came to Prince George’s County for the rental market. “We really liked the opportunities in the rental market. But it didn’t take long to see there were opportunities to build as well. We are excited about the opportunities to build in the County,” says Horwitz.
The Townhome development is less than 1 mile from Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital. The project consists of 34 homes for sale. Sage is actively looking for more opportunities in the county.
