Associated Black Charities invites the community to join in an unforgettable celebration of faith, community, and the spirit of giving at ABC Revival. This special event will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, where ABC will pay homage to its roots, deeply embedded in the faith community.
ABC Revival is a testament to the enduring commitment shared among Associated Black Charities, local faith leaders, and community members to create a lasting impact for Black people. In revisiting the fundamental principles upon which ABC was founded in 1985, this event reinforces the collective dedication to fostering community bonds through faith.
One highlight of ABC Revival is the promotion of Associated Black Charities partnership with Baltimore City Council President Nick Mosby’s Third Annual Toy Drive. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful cause by dropping off non-violent toy donations for school-aged children in Baltimore or contribute monetary donations, ensuring they have a memorable holiday season.
The event promises an uplifting worship experience at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, touching the hearts and souls of all attendees. ABC Revival aims to amplify ABC’s commitment to faith in action and creating a positive community impact.
“Many years ago, a previous ABC Executive Director spent many weekends at houses of worship in Baltimore executing a program called ABC Sundays”, said Chrissy M. Thornton, President and CEO of Associated Black Charities. “It was a vital way that ABC stayed connected to community members, partnered with local Pastors and Ministers, and engaged congregations around the mission work. ABC Revival is a throwback to those efforts.”
The program for ABC Revival features an esteemed lineup of participants and local faith community leaders, including Minister Aaron Stewart, Pastor Franklin Lance of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, Bishop Lisa Weah of New Bethlehem Baptist Church, Bishop Douglas Logan of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Baltimore City Council President Nick J. Mosby, the Greater Harvest Baptist Church Choir, Pastor Brent Brown of Greater Harvest Baptist Church, Pastor Regina Clay of Life Change AME Church, and Pastor Dantwan Broady of Temple Church and Ministries.
ABC Revival is a unique opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate shared values, and contribute to the well-being of Baltimore’s school-aged children during the holiday season. Join Associated Black Charities for a night of inspiration, worship, and giving!
