Association of Poinciana Villages to Host 30th Annual Christmas Parade and Celebration December 9, 2023

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) continues its 30-year tradition with the return of its Annual Christmas Parade and Celebration on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11 a.m. This is one of our most anticipated events each year, which is typically attended by more than 1,000 Poinciana residents.

This family-friendly event is free for APV residents and the public to enjoy. The festivities begin at 11 a.m. with a grand parade featuring dozens of floats and participants making their way from Cypress Parkway to Vance Harmon Park.  Immediately following the parade will be the holiday celebration at the Amphitheater at Vance Harmon Park, located at 625 Country Club Drive, featuring a kid’s zone, a food truck lane, live entertainment, vendors and crafters, a Battle of the Bands, and much more!

APV is thrilled to share that Santa and Mrs. Claus will also join to spread holiday cheer. Event attendees will have an opportunity to get their picture taken with these holiday favorites.

Residents and area businesses are invited to get into the holiday spirit by decorating a float that will bring joy to all who see it pass by. There is no cost to enter, but all floats must be decorated. We will award prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. To enter a float, visit https://tinyurl.com/2p8ztym4

Food truck operators can sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/u94k7y4t and for other vendors, please register here: https://tinyurl.com/5484yccu

APV will also host a “Battle of the Bands” for local high school marching bands. We need area schools to enter and battle it out for the chance to win cash prizes. Interested bands can contact Kay Acosta at   863-427-0900 EXT. 501 or at kirsy.acosta@fsresidential.com.

Parking will be provided off site at the APV Activity Campus at 445 Marigold Avenue. APV will be using a 14-passenger bus to transport attendees to and from the event site every 20 minutes from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Carpooling is highly suggested. To ensure the safety of float participants and parade viewers, there will be no parking at the event site or on Country Club Road, except for Disabled Person Parking.

The following streets will be closing at 10:30 a.m. on the day of the parade:  Country Club Court, Chip Court, Trophy Lane, South Flag Drive, South Flag Court, Country Club Road between Doverplum, Caddy Lane, and Doverplum between Cypress Parkway and Country Club Drive.
