Pueblo Querido Coffee and ACA Acupuncture and Wellness Joining Finback Brewery in Premier Long Island City Residential Tower

The Durst Organization announced today that Pueblo Querido Coffee Roasters and ACA Acupuncture and Wellness (ACA) will open new locations at Sven, the iconic 71-story residential tower in Long Island City, which incorporates the best of sustainable design, health and wellness, and technology. Pueblo Querido and ACA join a specialty retail environment at Sven including Finback Brewery, which will open a microbrewery and taproom this month.

“Residents at Sven have the best of New York at their fingertips, and now they’ll have some of the best coffee right at their doorstep and easy access to health and wellness treatments,” said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization. “We look forward to welcoming Pueblo Querido and ACA Acupuncture and Wellness to Sven.”

Pueblo Querido, founded in 2015 by Christian Felipe Guzman Herrera, is a culinary and coffee adventure celebrating Colombia and its rich contribution to the coffee tradition. The New York-based roasting company will occupy 1,912 square feet on the building’s ground floor. The new shop at Sven will be Pueblo Querido’s fifth location in New York City and the first in Queens. In addition to fair trade organic coffee and fresh roasted beans, Pueblo Querido will also offer Colombian delicacies such as arepas de choclo (flat corn cakes), pandebono (yuca-based sweet buns with cheese) and empanadas that are baked from scratch throughout the day. Pueblo Querido will be open Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“We became famous for using only the best ingredients for our pastries, the best Colombian single origin organic coffee, and for the friendliest customer service that will always make you feel like family,” said

Christian Felipe Guzman Herrera, founder Pueblo Querido Coffee Roasters. “We chose The Durst Organization’s Sven for our newest location because it perfectly aligns with our vision for creating an inviting space where coffee, culture, and community come together. This is a dynamic and vibrant part of Queens, making it the perfect place for us to showcase the best in Colombia’s coffee, heritage, and cuisine.”

ACA, one of the leading Chinese medicine practices in the United States, will occupy 1,803 square feet on the building’s ground floor. Known for its team of highly accomplished Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners, this will be ACA’s ninth location in the tri-state area. For more than twenty years, ACA clinics have offered cutting-edge, high-quality acupuncture and TCM and worked to bridge the gap between TCM and conventional medicine.

“We love the welcoming space at Sven,” said Dr. Li Ma, Managing Acupuncturist at ACA Acupuncture and Wellness. “Our commitment is to bring the health benefits of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to a broader audience, and this Long Island City outpost at Sven perfectly aligns with this mission.”

Sven, the second tallest tower in Queens, opened in early 2022 and leased-up in just one year. Its ideal location with access to eight subway lines, unique design, and 50,000 square feet of amenities and sustainability features have made it one of the most sought-after addresses in New York City. The building features 958 apartments and was designed by Handel Architects.

Environmental responsibility and resident wellness are woven throughout the building’s design, construction, operations, and management. It is the first multi-family building in the world to achieve the highest possible LEED rating: LEEDv4 BD+C: NC Platinum Certified. Amenities include a landscaped outdoor terrace with swimming pool, resident lounges, two-level library, expansive fitness center, game rooms, tot spot playroom, party room with chef’s kitchen, and movie theater.

The team of Richard Kave, Brad Schwarz and JP Sutro from Lee & Associates represented The Durst Organization, Pueblo Querido Coffee Roasters and ACA Acupuncture and Wellness.
