TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, released an episode of the thought leadership series, TEDCO Talks. Throughout this insightful series, TEDCO CEO, Troy LeMaile-Stovall, connects with thought leaders throughout the state of Maryland and beyond, to discuss different topics regarding economic development.
On this episode, LeMaile-Stovall speaks with David Fike, president and CEO of Leadership Maryland (LMD). The two CEOs discussed entrepreneurship, important life lessons, and key insights on how Leadership Maryland sets itself apart from other leadership programs.
“We’ve created a program that is very unique and different from other leadership programs…we’re not trying to teach you how to be a leader; what we’re trying to do is to evolve you as a leader,” Fike said. “We want you to look outside of your work environment and what you’re trying to accomplish in your work world and start looking at the environment around you in the state or the community that you live in, and how can we improve and move the state forward in a positive direction.”
As the discussion continued, LeMaile-Stovall asked about the influence of Leadership Maryland, the growth of the organization, plans to further integrate DEI in the program, and how the program fosters positive change throughout the State.
