Havencrest Capital Management, a Dallas-based, healthcare-focused private equity firm, is pleased to announce the promotions of Thomas D. Ruane and Matthew A. Cline as well as the addition of Sawyer P. Stratton to the investment team.

Thomas D. Ruane has been promoted to Principal and Head of Business Development. Mr. Ruane joined Havencrest in 2020 as Vice President to lead the firm’s business development efforts. Since joining Havencrest, Mr. Ruane has been instrumental in sourcing deals, recruiting additional Operating Partners for Havencrest and cultivating meaningful relationships with investment bankers, executives and advisors. Under Mr. Ruane’s business development leadership, Havencrest has completed several platform acquisitions and multiple add-ons since 2020.
Matthew A. Cline has been promoted to Vice President. Mr. Cline joined Havencrest in 2021 as an Associate and was subsequently promoted to Senior Associate in 2022. Since joining Havencrest, Mr. Cline has been involved in multiple platform investments, including Deep Eddy Therapy and Focus Staff, and he assists with the oversight of several additional portfolio companies.
Sawyer P. Stratton recently joined the Havencrest team as an Associate. Prior to joining Havencrest, Mr. Stratton served as an Associate of Houlihan Lokey in the healthcare investment banking group where he focused on executing merger and acquisition transactions for healthcare services and medical technology clients. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Stratton served as an Analyst of Wells Fargo Securities where he focused on a variety of transaction types including majority recapitalizations, minority equity transactions, direct lending and structured debt financings.
