Audiology Associates, Inc., a women-owned medical practice specializing in identifying and providing successful outcomes to hearing loss and other issues related to hearing health, is expanding its presence within Carney Village Shopping Center in Parkville, Maryland. After operating as a co-tenant in the center for nearly 25 years, the practice has signed a lease with Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) for 1,486 square feet of dedicated space and intends to open within the 52,000 square foot retail center in early summer. Nearly 10 medical professionals and support staff are expected to work at the facility at 9613 Harford Road. Dominique Threatt, Leasing Representative, Commercial for CRC, represented the landlord in this lease transaction, which elevates the center’s occupancy to 100 percent.

Co-owned by Drs. Melissa Segev and Briana Bruno Holtan, Audiology Associates utilizes a patient-first approach to provide comprehensive diagnostic services and treatment plans addressing a variety of issues and problems associated with the ear, including hearing loss, pain, and balance issues. The group, which maintains 12 locations in the greater Baltimore-Washington, D.C. region, works with patients of all ages and specializes in identifying the root causes of hearing issues prior to recommending courses of action.

“Many people are not as diligent about visiting an audiologist on a regular basis as they are with their dentists or physician,” stated Drs. Segev and Bruno Holtan. “But one of the keys to successful outcomes is early detection and prevention, and we recommend that people start scheduling annual ear checkups when they reach 50 years of age or sooner if they feel there is a problem. It is the best method to establish a baseline and start monitoring any changes in hearing. We have had a presence in Carney Village since 1999 and have established an extremely loyal patient following. Our practice continues to grow from word-of-mouth recommendations and local medical health care providers who trust in our care, and this larger location provides the space we need to support the community’s needs.”

Anchored by Weis Markets and positioned at the intersection of Harford Road and E. Joppa Road, Carney Village Shopping Center features seven additional tenants, including PM Pediatrics and Professional Vision Associates. Carney Village is the only grocery-anchored retail center north of Interstate 695 on Harford Road, and nearly 115,000 consumers reside within a three-mile radius of the center. Nearly 60,000 vehicles pass the site on a daily basis.

“We’re thrilled to witness the remarkable success of Audiology Associates at Carney Village Shopping Center, propelling their practice to expand and secure a dedicated space,” enthused Kristina O’Keefe, CRC’s Vice President, Commercial Division. “This transition to a larger, independent location signifies a significant milestone for their practice, and it’s truly gratifying to witness our tenants thrive in such a manner.”

Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland and founded in 1960, Continental Realty Corporation is a full-service commercial real estate and investment company focused on acquiring and operating retail and multifamily properties.
