New 8,450 SF Flagship Eatery Is One of Two New York Openings Planned by Florida-Based Hospitality Company This Year
Jack Resnick & Sons today announced that Argentine steakhouse Baires Grill will open its first Lower Manhattan restaurant on the ground floor of 200 Chambers Street, a luxury condominium tower originally developed by Resnick in 2007.
Baires Grill at 200 Chambers, which will open in December of this year, will encompass 8,450 square feet across the entire block front of West Street between Chambers and Warren Streets under a 20-year lease. The majority of the restaurant will be built out as a full-service steakhouse specializing in Argentine cuisine. A smaller portion will operate as Baires Café, offering breakfast and lunch fare.
A mainstay in Florida for the past twenty-five years, Baires Grill now operates out of seven locations in the Miami and Palm Beach areas and is popular among local residents, tourists and international celebrities alike. It specializes in Argentine meat cuts and boasts an extensive wine list and exclusive cocktail offerings influenced by various cultures.
200 Chambers, which was chosen for its strategic location and will serve as Baires’ flagship location in New York, will be the second of two new restaurants launching in the city in 2024. The first is set to open in Midtown Manhattan this spring.

Recognized as Tribeca’s first luxury high-rise development, the Resnick family broke ground on the 30-story tower in 2005 and has continued to lease and manage its garage and retail space since completing the sale of all 258 luxury condominium units in 2007. Resnick also owns and leases a 10,000-square-foot annex in the building to the NYC Department of Education, which is used by neighboring P.S. 234.
