The Arc Baltimore Will Hold Its 2024 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception Next Week

May 1 Event Recognizes Individuals Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities

The Arc Baltimore will hold its 2024 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception next Wednesday, May 1, 6-8:30 p.m., at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel (1726 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD).

Celebrating a tradition of volunteer and staff commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, the Annual Meeting and Awards Reception allows The Arc Baltimore to recognize those who have gone that extra mile in their service to the organization, as well as those with developmental disabilities who are recipients of The Arc’s programs and services.

“The Annual Meeting and Awards Reception provides the chance to honor and say thank you to all of those who have given so much of themselves to the mission of The Arc Baltimore, from community partners and volunteers to staff members, people supported by The Arc, and other heroes of the organization,” says Kathleen McNally Durkin, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.

The Arc’s mission is to support people with developmental disabilities so that they lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaningful relationships.

As in past years, The Arc Baltimore will present awards for volunteer service, excellence in direct support, citizenship, and public service, among others. In addition, The Arc will elect new board of directors and officers during the Annual Meeting. WMAR-TV 2’s news anchor Jamie Costello will again serve as emcee for the event.

Tickets for The Arc Baltimore 2024 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception are $25 for staff, staff retirees, and people the organization supports, and $50 for all others.
