Xroads Real Estate Advisors, a national full-service real estate asset management, property management and advisory firm, has announced that Suzanne Hendrick has joined the firm as executive vice president, effective immediately. Based in Chicago, Hendrick has more than 30 years of experience in asset and property management, most recently serving as executive vice president of asset services operations at Transwestern.
After securing 25 new property assignments in 2023, Xroads’ Chicago assignment portfolio now includes office assets like 161 North Clark Street, 300 South Riverside Plaza and 540 West Madison; a large local retail portfolio; and a large national industrial portfolio. Hendrick’s newly created role of executive vice president will be critical to driving Xroads’ national and Chicago-area portfolio strategy and services implementation, while also allowing the firm to capitalize on opportunities in property management across office, retail, and industrial sectors.

In addition to her time at Transwestern, Hendrick spent 10 years in asset management leadership roles at MB Real Estate (MBRE), most recently as executive vice president and managing director. Hendrick oversaw a portfolio at its peak of 24 million square feet, with properties including Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park, the Chicago Riverwalk, Richard J. Daley Center, 69 West Washington, One North Dearborn, 181 North Madison, One North LaSalle Street, 425 South Financial Place and Michigan Plaza (205 & 225 North Michigan Avenue).
Prior to MBRE, was employed by The John Buck Company, where she served as general manager of 111 South Wacker Drive, a 1.5 million-square-foot Class A office tower in downtown Chicago. Hendrick also spent six years in property management at Hines where she managed several high-profile buildings during her tenure, including 321 North Clark Street, 303 East Wacker Drive and 70 West Madison Street.
Hendrick is a Midwest Real Estate News Hall of Fame inductee and winner of Connect Media’s 2020 Women in Real Estate award. She is a long-time member of the Chicago Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and currently is serving on its board of directors. Hendrick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola University and held a LEED Green Associate accreditation for more than a decade. Hendrick has regularly served her industry and community in many capacities including her time as co-chair of BuildOn’s annual Chicago fundraiser and as a mentor in its partnership program.

Crossroads Partners, a property management, accounting and brokerage firm founded by Michael Nortman.
