Amerant Bank, the largest community bank headquartered in Florida, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 21st to celebrate the grand opening of its first banking center in the heart of Tampa Bay’s commercial and residential hub.
Situated in the bustling Westshore Business District, one of the most central business areas in the Tampa Bay region, the branch is strategically located 10 minutes from Tampa International Airport. The spacious 2,700-square-foot branch is on the first floor of the Urban Centre Building at 4830 W Kennedy Blvd. Amerant Bank’s new banking center, stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to serving the Greater Tampa area.
Amerant Bank celebrated its grand opening ceremony with a reception at its new banking center that included Jerry Plush, Chairman and CEO, and several bank executives including, Maria Olivera, SVP, Community Relations Director – who emceed the event. Notable esteemed guests and speakers included Mayor Jane Castor of the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County Commissioner Ken Hagan, and Michael Maurino, Executive Director of the Westshore Alliance.

This expansion aligns with Amerant Bank’s overarching strategy to better serve key markets in Central and South Florida. It complements the recently opened regional corporate office in Tampa’s Westshore district, located within the same building as Amerant Bank’s new banking center.
