NeighborWorks® Housing Solutions (NHS; www.nhsmass.org), the leading housing service provider in southern Massachusetts, is proud to be the recipient of a $300,000 allocation from the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) program.
CITC is a Massachusetts state tax credit program designed to support Community Development Corporations (CDCs), such as NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, to increase their capacity and impact locally. CITC provides a 50% state tax credit for donations made to specific vetted CDC nonprofits in the Commonwealth.
Individuals, corporations, and nonprofit organizations are all eligible to participate in the CITC tax credit program. In addition to the state tax credit that the donor receives, the donation is eligible for the federal tax donation. As such, donors also enjoy the opportunity to support a meaningful organization that provides services and education locally.
