Managing Partner of the firm, a fulltime administrative law attorney and adjunct professor at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Bill has always dedicated important time to helping LASP. He explains: “LASP serves a vital role in this community. As attorneys, we have an obligation to give back to our community. I feel privileged to be in a position to help and it is a priority of mine to assist this great non-profit organization in further serving our community.”
The mission of LASP is to provide free “quality legal representation to low-income and vulnerable people in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties and increased access to the courts, and to change community practices and systems that cause or aggravate poverty.” Assistance is regularly provided in such areas as family law, including child custody, protection from domestic violence, landlord tenant, eviction and mortgage foreclosure matters, elder law, consumer law, public benefits assistance and much more.
According to C. Shawn Boehringer, LASP’s Executive Director, “It’s been a pleasure to work with Bill over the last 6 years in his capacity as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice-President of the LASP’s Board of Directors. He has always been available for consultation and has successfully taken on meaningful leadership roles in the governance of the organization. I am excited to work with Bill as our President. Bill’s prudent approach, and his energy, intelligence, and enthusiasm for LASP’s mission make him the perfect individual to lead the Board and be a wonderful President.”
