Steven A. Hann Presents “EPA’s New Drinking Water Regulation for PFAS” Webinar for the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association

Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin is pleased to announce that Steven A. Hann, Esq. was the sole speaker at a Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association webinar entitled “EPA’s New Drinking Water Regulation for PFAS.”

During this webinar, Steve focused on PFAS-related regulations issued by EPA in April 2024. He discussed EPA’s regulation setting enforceable limits for certain PFAS in drinking water, including application of a hazard index for the regulation of mixtures of PFAS compounds, new initial monitoring requirements, and how to determine compliance with the regulation’s ongoing monitoring requirements. In addition, Steve discussed another new EPA regulation designating certain PFAS as hazardous substances under CERCLA, and the impact of such regulation on, among others, public water systems and wastewater treatment plants. In addressing this regulation, Steve explained a contemporaneously issued EPA policy document addressing how the federal agency intends to implement this new regulation.

In his practice, Steve has been actively engaged in various PFAS-related issues, including numerous presentations at seminars and webinars and the filing of comment letters with both EPA and DEP on PFAS-related initiatives. He represents a diverse client base, which includes municipal authorities, municipalities, business entities, builders and developers.
