Edgemere, a premier senior living community in North Dallas, is pleased to announce that Ryan Bixler and Leslie Doran Sparciano have joined the team. Bixler will serve as the new culinary director, and Sparciano will be a sales counselor at the community.
Bixler has more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare and senior living industries. In addition, he brings more than 30 years of catering, restaurant and hotel management experience. Bixler found his passion in creating meaningful meals that leave a lasting impact on people’s lives.
“I am elated to take on the position of culinary director,” said Bixler. “Edgemere has welcomed me with open arms, and I look forward to creating delicious and nutritious meals for seniors and becoming a part of this family for years to come.”
Sparciano received a bachelor’s degree in education from Florida State University and an executive master’s in business administration (MBA) from Texas Women’s University. Her education, paired with her passion for helping others lead a healthy and happy lifestyle, brought her to Edgemere.
“Having spent my entire career working with seniors, I look forward to bringing my knowledge and passion to the residents and their families at Edgemere,” said Sparciano.
As culinary director, Bixler will lead a team of chefs who create menus for each of the community’s distinctive dining venues using the finest, freshest ingredients while always keeping senior health and wellness in mind. Sparciano will play a key role in marketing the community to prospective residents, ensuring a smooth transition into the community and maintaining relationships with residents’ families.
