Holy Cross Health’s Michael & Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center Welcomes Hematologist-Oncologist Simon Blanc, M.D.

Simon Blanc, M.D. has joined Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 130 physicians providing services throughout Broward County, as a hematologist-oncologist at the Michael & Dianne Bienes Comprehensive Cancer Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Triple board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology, Dr. Blanc comes to Holy Cross from Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami where he was on faculty with an active practice seeing patients and working with residents and fellows. Since 2020, he has served as senior medical director of West Palm Beach-based Integra Connect, a cloud-based technology and business services platform for value-based specialty care and precision medicine that serves practices, payors and pharma. He was the only board-certified practicing oncologist in the oncology driven business and was considered part of the executive leadership team. Along with four other physicians, Dr. Blanc also founded Florida Precision Oncology. They grew the practice to eight physicians in less than a year before being acquired by GenesisCare.

Dr. Blanc earned a Doctor of Medicine from Université Saint Esprit de Kaslik Faculté de Médecine in Jounieh, Lebanon in a joint program with Faculté François Rabelais de Tours in France. From there, he served as an oncologic cardiology research intern at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas. Following his post-doctoral studies at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Blanc joined Roche Pharmaceuticals based out of Beirut as the Middle East Regional Medical Director. He then spent two years at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York as a rotating clinical and research resident in leukemia and thoracic cancers. Dr. Blanc earned an internal medicine diploma from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai – St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, where he also served as a clinical documentation and informatics supervisor.

Dr. Blanc completed hematology-oncology fellowships at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. While at UM, he received a $100,000 grant from the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation to use virtual reality to decrease chemotherapy-associated anxiety, symptom distress, nausea, vomiting and fatigue.

A member of the American Board of Hematology, American Board of Oncology, American Board of Internal Medicine, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology, Dr. Blanc has contributed to more than 40 publications, posters, abstracts, oral presentations and manuscripts in oncology, cardio-oncology, real world data and practice quality improvement.
