Easterly Asset Management Appoints Genna Brounstein and Jennifer Cahill as Senior Vice Presidents of Private Market Sales

BEVERLY, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Easterly Asset Management, home to investment teams providing investors with a portfolio of solutions across alternatives, active equity and active fixed income, today announced the appointment of Genna Brounstein and Jennifer Cahill as Senior Vice Presidents of Private Market Sales. In the newly created roles, Brounstein and Cahill will focus on growing and diversifying Easterly’s portfolio of Alternatives Solutions as part of the company’s private markets distribution team.

Easterly has diversified its growing portfolio of Alternatives Solutions through strategic partnerships with leaders in the alternatives space including Harrison Street, a global investment management firm focused on demographic-driven, needs-based real assets including senior housing, student housing, healthcare delivery, life sciences and storage real estate as well as social, utility, and digital infrastructure; Lateral Investment Management, a private equity firm focused on transformational growth buyouts at owner-operated middle market businesses; and Easterly Clear Ocean (formerly Easterly MLEP), a company formed to capitalize on imbalances and dislocations in the international shipping markets.

“Demand for differentiated alternative strategies continues to grow among private wealth investors,” said Darrell Crate, Founder and Managing Principal of Easterly. “Genna and Jennifer’s established track records and deep roots in the private wealth community will serve as valuable assets as we continue to expand access to Easterly’s curated portfolio of Alternatives Solutions to new investors.”

Brounstein joins Easterly from Rockefeller Asset Management, where she excelled in capital raising across family offices and institutional allocators as a Senior Vice President and Client Relationship Manager. Cahill joins Easterly from Fasanara Capital, where she was Co-Head of U.S. Capital Formation responsible for expanding the firm’s U.S. fundraising footprint with a focus on large allocators. Cahill was previously a Managing Director at Investcorp, where she focused on alternatives funds, seeded vehicles, and private co-invests as a member of the firm’s investment committee.

“Today’s appointments underscore our continued commitment to the private markets space,” said Phil Juliano, Jr., Head of Sales at Easterly. “Genna and Jennifer’s experience as high-performing sales executives will bolster our distribution strategy for Easterly’s private market offerings and enhance the firm’s growth trajectory.”

At Easterly, Brounstein and Cahill will leverage their cultivated networks of family offices, RIAs, and financial advisors to lead fundraising efforts for Easterly’s Alternatives Solutions.

Prior to Rockefeller, Brounstein was a Vice President and Client Relationship Manager within Brookfield Asset Management’s Private Funds Group, where she spearheaded strategies to expand Brookfield’s investor base of family offices from 2018 – 2021. Prior to Brookfield, Brounstein held various roles over a nine-year period at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, most recently as a member of their Alternative Investment Distribution Group. She holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and serves on the Board of Directors of Cobble Hill LifeCare.

Cahill holds 20 years of alternatives investment fundraising experience. In addition to her roles at Fasanara Capital and Investcorp, Cahill was also a Managing Director at Harbert Management Corporation, a global alternatives firm. Cahill has held various leadership roles at other global asset managers including, Atlantic Investment Management, Protégé Partners, and Pequot Capital Management. Cahill holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.

In connection with Brounstein and Cahill’s appointments, Easterly plans to announce additional strategic hires in the near future to support its growing portfolio of Alternatives Solutions and private wealth offerings.
