The 20th Annual Birdies for Bracelets Charity Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Alzheimer’s Community Care ID Locater Bracelet Program

The Pilot Club of Fort Pierce, an international civic and service organization, hosted its 20th annual Birdies for Bracelets Charity Golf Tournament on Sept. 21st at Gator Trace Golf & Country Club. This year’s event had a record of 120 golfers participating.

Proceeds from the event support Alzheimer Community Care’s ID Locator Bracelet service, a program that provides life-saving ID locator tracking bracelets to Alzheimer’s patients who are at risk of wandering and the assurance of a safe return home with the help of the Sheriff’s Office. Over $100K has been raised for the program since the event’s inception.

“We are honored that the proceeds from this incredible golf tournament go towards our ID Locator service,” said David Franklin, President & CEO of Alzheimer’s Community Care. “Our ID Locator service is a vital resource that helps ensure safety and peace of mind for families navigating the difficult journey of Alzheimer’s. We are grateful to The Pilot Club of Fort Pierce as they have been a great partner and to everyone who participated in this year’s event. We’re already looking forward to another great tournament next year!”
