Greg Manifold Promoted to Head of Visuals at The Washington Post

I’m excited to share that Greg Manifold is being promoted to Head of Visuals, a new, masthead-level position created to advance the excellence and innovation of The Post’s visual storytelling across our products. He starts his new job immediately.

Manifold is a proven leader, innovator and steady presence who will work with and represent at the highest levels our Design, Graphics and Photo departments to maintain our visual aesthetic. He understands the centrality of visuals in contemporary journalism and their intersection with product. As The Post continues publishing so much distinctive and creative visual journalism, Manifold’s mandate is to work alongside the rest of the masthead and across the newsroom as we enter our next era of growth. He will be a key decision maker and driver of the daily news report.

A key focus will be coordinating visual production, as well as a unified design aesthetic, across platforms, including the homepage, social media and the print newspaper. Manifold will continue to work with colleagues in Product, Marketing and Engineering to ensure this sensibility extends across the company.
