Laura Hilton Hallmon, a Partner at Cantey Hanger, has been appointed to Chair the U.S. Leadership Committee for Meritas, the premier global alliance of independent law firms, serving the local legal needs of the clients of 172 law firms located across 92 countries.
Hallmon, Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law, will serve a three-year term as Chair of the Committee, which is responsible for furthering the mission, values, and goals of Meritas, strategic planning, member recruitment, retention and development for the U.S. region.
Hallmon’s leadership involvement with Meritas began in 2019 with her appointment as a member of the U. S. Leadership Committee (2019-2021). Additionally, she served a one-year term on the Member Engagement Committee (2020-2021), after which she was appointed to a three-year term on the Meritas Board of Directors (2021-2024).
Her recent appointment as Chair of the U.S. Leadership Committee is a reflection of Mertias’ ongoing recognition of the value of her leadership and her affinity for furthering its mission and goals.
