Nectir, a Los Angeles, CA-based startup giving students a personalized AI learning partner, raised $6.3M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Long Journey Ventures along with Entrada Ventures, Precursor Ventures, and Behind Genius Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Founded by Kavitta Ghai and Jordan Long, Nectir provides a solution for schools looking to deploy AI safely. The company’s platform integrates with all learning management systems (LMS), allowing schools to quickly create custom AI assistants for students, teachers, administrators, and more. Its use case is an AI course assistant trained on class materials, giving every student access to personalized learning support and feedback at any time. The platform is also completely FERPA-compliant, maintaining data safety and student privacy standards.
Nectir is already used by 80,000+ students across 100 schools including UC Santa Barbara and Boston University.
