Lucky Tiger Asian Bistro Now Open at Hood Park in Charlestown

Lucky Tiger Joins Hood Park’s Vibrant Restaurant Row Alongside

Tradesman, Urban Wild and Winter Fest

Lucky Tiger Asian Bistro is Charlestown’s newest and coolest addition to the emerging “Restaurant Row” in Hood Park located at 100 Hood Park Drive. Lucky Tiger joins the street that already includes neighborhood staple Tradesman Coffeeshop & Pizza Bar, the powerhouse entertainment venue Urban Wild, and the seasonal festivals including Wicked Haunt Fest and Winter Fest.

“We always strive to make from-scratch, honest food that people really enjoy and crave to come back for,” said Angel Suarez, Executive Chef. “We are excited for our guests to try our new cuisine at Lucky Tiger. I know our front-of-house team really loves making people happy and so does our team in the kitchen. Don’t forget, we’re also open for takeout if you can’t dine in!”

Lucky Tiger mixes a modern Asian hip vibe, funky cocktails, along with classic inspired dishes from many regions of Asia. The fancy backdrop sets the scene, quirky and playful artwork highlighted by the giant Lucky Tiger sitting in a Bathtub that creates a chill but lucky vibe and a great social media moment.

The menu includes classic favorites with a small twist such as Crab Rangoon with Pineapple Chili Salsa, Crispy General Gau’s Chicken and Sourdough Sesame Scallion Pancakes with Citrus Ponzu dipping sauce. The shareable portion of the menu also includes Crispy Egg Rolls, Pork Gyoza Dumplings, Tuna Tacos, garlic ginger Edamame, Shishito Peppers and Pickled Cucumbers, but the star is the Sweet and Sticky Spare Ribs. The succulent St. Louis-style ribs are slowly roasted for five hours, glazed with sweet and spicy hoisin sauce and flash fried to order.

The menu only gets better from there. There is a Sushi Section that includes Salmon Sunrise, a Veggie Dragon Roll, and the featured roll of Spicy Tuna with avocado, cucumber, yum yum sauce, togarashi garnished with sweet soy, yuzu lemongrass aioli, crispy tempura flakes and some “flying fish” caviar. A dish not to be missed.

Rounding out the offerings, Lucky Tiger’s menu includes multiflavored Dan Dan Noodles, classic Udon Noodles, Pho Sate Beef Bowl, Poke Tuna Bowl and their signature loaded House Fried Rice with Yum Yum Sauce.

The cocktail program plays the hits with some twists featuring Singapore Sling, Japanese Sour, Soju Aperol Spritz, Lychee Mojito, Mai Tai, Yuzu Martini and the easy to drink Green Tea Cocktail. Don’t forget to ask for the Scorpion Bowl for 2 or 4 and you may just get it served in Star Wars themed bowl!

Lucky Tiger is a place you go to seek luck, not take yourself to seriously, enjoy great Asian food and drink, and soak in the ambiance.

“I can’t believe how much there is to do here now! My friends and I can park for free for 3 hours and just bounce around and experience so many different but cool concepts,” said Rachael, a Hood Park visitor from Somerville.

Lucky Tiger is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4pm-11pm and can also be ordered for takeout and through the third-party apps. Located at 100 Hood Park Drive in Charlestown.
