Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC), Florida’s premier provider of dementia-specific services, today announced additional specialized day center funding. This new funding will cover day center attendance expenses five days a week for three months for up to 30 patients with dementia-related disorders.
ACC operates 11 specialized day centers in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties. A full list of centers is available here. The centers are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The centers give caregivers a much-needed break by providing daycare and enrichment for patients.
“We are committed to providing specialized, compassionate care to families navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s and related dementias,” said ACC President and CEO David Franklin. “With this new funding, we are excited to extend our day center services to more families and caregivers needing respite. We are deeply grateful for this investment in our mission and look forward to continuing to serve our community with care, compassion, and respect.”
While attending ACC’s specialized day centers, patients engage in enrichment activities such as art therapy, music therapy, robotic pet therapy, and much more. Breakfast and lunch are also provided.
Funding is limited and spaces will fill up quickly. Those interested can contact the intake department at 561-683-2700 or Contact Us – Alzheimer’s Community Care HQ.
