
Pessin Katz Law, P.A. (PK Law) is pleased to announce that The Daily Record has named Attorney Ashley Nelson-Raut to the 2021 VIP List – Very Important Professionals Successful by 40 awards.
The Daily Record created the VIP List in 2010 to recognize professionals 40 years of age and younger who have been successful in Maryland. Winners, chosen by a panel of judges including the previous year’s winners and representatives of The Daily Record, were selected based on professional accomplishments, community service and the impact of their achievements.

Ashley Nelson-Raut is an Associate in the firm’s Wealth Preservation Group. Ashley focuses her practice on advising clients in the areas of estate planning, elder care, estate and trust administration, income taxation of trusts and estates, and family law.
Ashley graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2017. While in Law School, Ashley was an Associate Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Forum, a member of the Royal Shannonhouse III Honor Society, Historian of the Phi Delta Phi International Honor Society, and Law Scholar for ILS/Civil Procedure for Professor John Bessler.
During Law School, Ashley worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Angela Vallario, for which she assisted in drafting Professor Vallario’s Fundamentals of Estate Planning Textbook, and researched the Elective Share in Maryland.
Prior to law school Ashley attended Stevenson University graduating summa cum laude, where she obtained her degree in Paralegal Studies.
The VIP List honorees will be recognized at an online celebration on Sept. 22 from 6 to 7 p.m. Each of the winners will be celebrated for their achievements through video storytelling. A VIP happy hour for honorees and sponsors will be held on Sept. 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Gertrude’s at the Baltimore Museum of Art, 10 Art Museum Drive in Baltimore. Winners will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the Sept. 23 issue of The Daily Record and will be available online at TheDailyRecord.com.
