Tech Startup ‘Wire Pulse’ Relocates from Chicago to South Baltimore

Wire Pulse Inc., a technology company that provides digital solutions to the utilities, industrial wire supply, and installation industries, has relocated from Chicago to South Baltimore. Wire Pulse’s new offices are at the BGE campus at 1899 Leadenhall St. in South Baltimore.

Wire Pulse was founded by Jason Zielke in 2017. Zielke learned the utility industry often struggled to keep track of materials being used on hundreds of projects each year and began prototype development in a garage laboratory. In 2019, Exelon (the parent company of BGE) and Wire Pulse partnered to bring a commercialized solution to market for the utility industry to address these challenges.

Last week, Wire Pulse announced the launch of Reel Sense, which it described as “a cloud-based platform that delivers accurate, real-time data to track the supply, logistics and installation of electric cables, which transport the electricity and information that drives the global economy.” This was developed in close partnership with Exelon.
