Transwestern’s Greg Boler Helps Architect Initiative for College Juniors & Seniors
Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces its Atlanta office has completed its participation in NAIOP GA’s inaugural Career Diversity Internship Program. Greg Boler, Logistics Group Partner at Transwestern Development Company and Education Committee Chair for NAIOP GA, was instrumental in developing the initiative. Including Transwestern, six local commercial real estate companies joined the program in 2021.
“NAIOP GA has always been committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion but we wanted to make more impact by shifting from national exposure of high school students to local access for college students who are often overlooked,” said Boler.“We created this program to provide underrepresented students, specifically people of color, with career opportunities within the industry, and to address the growing demand for commercial real estate companies to be more culturally diverse and representative of their local demographics. We also wanted to go beyond exposure — to give students a true hands-on experience with access to real jobs at the end of their internships.”

NAIOP GA’s Career Diversity Internship Program partners with corporate chapter member companies to provide a pool of diverse candidates with paid summer internships across various disciplines within commercial real estate. NAIOP delivers ongoing support to students through seminars, skills coaching and participation in chapter events.
Corporate partners are committed to interviewing and hiring at least one student provided by NAIOP. Eligible students are full-time college juniors and seniors enrolled in real estate or real estate-related programs, such as finance, business, economics, mathematics, logistics, marketing, architecture and engineering.
“NAIOP GA is dedicated to cultivating and celebrating an inclusive commercial real estate workforce in Atlanta by connecting these students and young professionals of color to leading industry organizations,” said Debbie Koenig, Executive Director of NAIOP GA. “As we continue this program, we strive to help provide a sustainable pipeline of talent that reflects the demographics of our city. We look forward to expanding to more CRE companies and more students in the future.”
