Jean Mistretta of Linwood Mill Apartments receives Regional Honorable Mention
The Peabody Companies, a group of award-winning property management and real estate firms, is delighted to announce that Tiffany Gunawan, a resident of Market Mills Apartments in Lowell, was named a national winner in this year’s National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) Annual AHMA Drug-Free Kids poster and art contest.
Jean Mistretta, a resident of Linwood Mill Apartments in Whitinsville, was also recognized with a regional honorable mention.
Gunawan and Mistretta were two of six submissions submitted for consideration at the national level by the New England Affordable Housing Management Association (NEAHMA).
The annual contest, this year with the theme, “With Responsibility Comes Reward: Holding Ourselves Accountable,” was open to children, elderly or special needs residents living in a NAHMA community.
As a national winner, Gunawan will receive a $1,000 educational scholarship from the NAHMA Educational Foundation, and her artwork will be featured in the organization’s 2022 calendar. Mistretta will be featured in a special section of the calendar and will receive a $100 scholarship check.
NAHMA is the leading voice for affordable housing management, advocating on behalf of multifamily property managers and owners whose mission is to provide quality affordable housing.
“We are thrilled that Tiffany and Jean were recognized at the national level for their artistic submissions, and can’t wait to see Tiffany’s artwork in the NAHMA calendar,” said Kate Swope, director of resident services for the Peabody Companies. “The NAHMA poster contest is a wonderful annual event that lets our residents share a different side of themselves with the community, and we are grateful to participate!”
