DLA Piper announced today that Daniel Fazio has joined the firm’s Employment practice as a partner in Chicago.
Fazio represents employers across the spectrum of labor and employment law. His practice focuses on employment litigation and counseling, with a particular emphasis on restrictive covenant, unfair competition and trade secret matters, class and collective action litigation, ERISA litigation, and wage-and-hour litigation and compliance, as well as advice and counsel on employment-related aspects of complex M&A transactions.
“Dan is a highly respected and accomplished labor and employment litigator and advisor and a key strategic addition to our group,” said Brian Kaplan, chair of DLA Piper’s US Employment practice and global co-chair. “The employment litigation landscape is as busy as ever, and we’re thrilled to have Dan join our employment team in Chicago.”
“Dan’s well-rounded skillset complements and enhances the capabilities of our Chicago-based employment practice,” said Jesse Criz, co-managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office. “He will certainly help us meet the growing demand for sophisticated employment-related counsel, and we are thrilled to welcome him on board,” said Raj Shah, co-managing partner of the Chicago office.
Fazio joins from Winston & Strawn LLP. Admitted to practice in Illinois and California, he received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from Columbia University.
